“It’s been amazing watching my first novel reach thousands of readers, win five awards, and get signed with two different media companies for adaptations — all in the first year!
Royal Road was a part of the journey, and I definitely want to help other aspiring authors nail the indie publishing game and reach their audience!”
I published my first indie novel almost 15 years ago — and it died on the vine within days. (I since pulled it down, but it was called “Sins of the Patriots” and had a lot of editing problems 😂)
After that mess, no one was as surprised as me when Into the BeanStalk took off in 2024.
And the trophies, medals, and unsolicited emails from media companies just floored me. Now, this novel is being adapted into a full-cast audio drama, a motion comic, and talks have begun about the tabletop RPG adaptation!
Did I crack the code? I don’t think it’s that cut and dry, but I do think I’ve learned a lot about writing and the publishing business in the last fifteen years or so.
This is knowledge that I want to share with other aspiring writers.

Between my blog, newsletter, and Patreon account, I’ve begun sharing everything I’ve learned about writing, marketing, and reaching your audience!
Jack is a techie and long-time shut-in, driven to save her father from corporate servitude. That means getting her hands on scrip, and lots of it. Going into debt with the most violent bikers in Hope Megacity will get her the cybernetic limbs she needs to overcome her disabilities, but that’s only the beginning.
